Welcome to the home page for Toews On the Waves, an internet radio program/podcast hosted by Bruce Toews in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The show is aired on Shellworld Radio through the courtesy of Shellworld Internet.
Toews On the Waves (TOTW) is a weekly mix of oldies, novelty music, and then some. This includes everything from songs Bruce doesn't like, to songs Bruce likes but doesn't really want to admit to liking, to theme-based blocks of music, comedy and much more. Requests for future shows are always welcome at bruce@radio.shellworld.net, an address you can also feel fre to add to your MSN/Windows Messenger contact list, as Bruce is often online during the broadcast of the shows.
The show airs Sundays at 6:00 PM Central time in the US and Canada, which translates to 7:00 PM Eastern, 4:00 PM Pacific and 00:00 UTC. It is repeated the following Wednesday, four hours later, i.e. 10:00 PM Central, 11:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific, 04:00 UTC, and again on Saturday at 12:00 PM Central, 01:00 PM Eastern, 10:00 AM Pacific, or 18:00 UTC.

Toews on the Waves offers a chat room where listeners of the program can get together and talk about the show, the music, or pretty much anything, as long as the conversation is kept G-rated. The chat room is vailable during Sundays broadcast 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Central time. You are welcome to listen to a classic episode of Toews on the Waves from March 20, 2005. This episode can be streamed using a high-speed or a dial-up modem Internet Connection. It was the last episode of the program to be aired on The Wave out of NEw Brighton, New Zealand. At the time the show was called Toews on the Wave, due to the name of the station. This stream contains all of the original commercials, sweepers, and station ID's that were a part of the show when it was first broadcast. The weather report is not accurate for the day of broadcast, as it was added in to create a sense of authenticity, but is nonetheless one of the weather reports that was used on the station at one time.
Bruce maintains a spam-free, announcements-only mailing list where he simply sends out updates about the program: upcoming shows, technical difficulties and rescheduling, and so on. This list is called the Radio Classics list, in honor of a program Bruce used to broadcast which inspired the update list. Toews on the Waves is not a subscription service. It is and always will be free. However there are costs Bruce incurs in running the program, such as new and exciting CD's, Website hosting and domain management, and the time involved.
